About the Artist

Originally born in Surrey I later moved to rural Devon which inspired me to paint the beautiful countryside and coast. I find I am naturally drawn to painting seascapes with the North Devon coast being a particular source of inspiration.

Having family in the South of France also sparked my early interest in the mediterranean landscape. Italy has since become another favourite with its dramatic scenery and clear blue seas.

I studied art at university and gained a BA (Hons) in graphic design and advertising. In the past I have worked in commercial graphics before returning to fine art which was always my true calling.

The style I paint in could be described as a mixture of contemporary impressionism with a hint of realism.
